About Me

That Suburban Life provides insights, recommendations, commentary, and tips on living in suburban NJ. From things to do and places to play, hikes to take and stores to shop, food to eat and real estate to check out, That Suburban Life serves as an all around guide to life in the not-so-mean streets of the NYC ‘burbs.

After a lifetime of city living, my husband and I decided to pack up our Brooklyn apartment for the more spacious and greener pastures of Cranford, New Jersey. As a city girl, I knew virtually nothing about living in the suburbs. I didn’t even know how to drive! After 5 years, driving lessons, two kids, a real estate license, and a lot of exploring, we finally have this suburban living thing kinda figured out.

In my previous life, I produced tv shows and wrote for the website FreeNYC.net (RIP.) Now, when not chasing toddlers, I am a Realtor at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Westfield, NJ and blogging in attempt to make the suburbs cool again!
